World no. 1 Ashleigh Barty cried and took away her Wimbledon title after beating Carolina Pliskova by three wickets (6-3 67 (4) 63) on July 10, 2021. Barty became the first Australian woman to win the Wimbledon women's title since 1980.

Speaking after his success, "It took me a long time to talk mentally about the fact that I wanted to dream and dream." He went on to say, "Being able to achieve my dream right now, and everyone here, has made it better than I ever imagined."
