1) IPS chief executive Subodh Kumar Jaiswal was appointed as the new head of the CBI for two years, according to the staff service order.

👉 1985-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Maharashtra cadre, Jaiswal is currently the general director of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

2) Dronacharya's first boxing award-winning coach, O P Bhardwaj, has died after a long battle with age-related illnesses and problems here.

He was 82 and sadly lost his wife Santosh due to an illness about 10 days ago.

👉 Bhardwaj was awarded the highest national award in joint training with Balchandra Bhaskar Bhagwat (wrestling) and O M Nambiar (athletes), when it was launched in 1985.




3) India and New Zealand discussed measures to improve ‘depth and strength’ of engagement between the two countries in different areas.

👉During the third foreign diplomatic talks, the two countries also emphasized the importance of close co-operation with international law and the free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region.




4) Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have praised nuclear cooperation between the two neighbors as they attended the launch of a major nuclear power project to build four nuclear power plants in China worth about USD 3 billion.




5) Minister of Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar introduced National Mobile Monitoring Software, NMMS application and Area Officer Monitoring system.

The NMMS App allows real-time staff capture at Mahatma Gandhi NREGA worksites to increase citizen civic control of the program.




6) Telecom operator Reliance Jio is building India's largest cable line with India and global partners and water cable provider Subcom to address growing data demand.




7) The FIFA Women's Under-17 World Cup will be held in India from October 11 to 30, 2022. India was due to host the 2021 U-17 Women's World Cup before being canceled due to the Covid- 19.

The Prime Minister also said that the "Global Pandemic Radar," as the network was called, would ensure the early detection of new species and emerging viruses, so the vaccines and treatments needed to prevent them could be quickly developed.

23) The E-Committee of the Supreme Court of India on Sunday released its "e-Courts Services Mobile app" in 14 languages.

👉 The "e-Courts Services Mobile" program aimed at benefiting the plaintiffs, citizens, lawyers, law firms, police, government agencies and other institutional authorities has so far downloaded 57 lakh.

25) Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission Dr Srikumar Banerjee passed away in May 2021.

He retired as Secretary of the Atomic Energy Department in 2012.

26) Hockey India has won the prestigious Etienne Glichitch Award in recognition of its contribution to the growth and development of sport in the country.

27) The Padma Bhushan Award Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, who is also the chairman of AIG hospitals, has received a great honor from the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) - the Rudolf V Schindler Award.

👉 Dr. Nageshwar Reddy is the first Indian to receive this award, named after Dr. Schindler, who is regarded as the father of gastroscopy.




28) Indian economist and Nobel Laureate Amartya Kumar Sen has been awarded the Princess of Asturias Award in Spain in the field of social sciences.

👉 Sen, 87, has been nominated from 41 candidates from 20 countries nominated for the Social Sciences Award.

His research on poverty and his vision for human development, social economics and the causes of poverty have contributed to the fight against injustice, inequality, disease and ignorance.
