1) The Rajdhani Express passenger train from Silchar's Assam train station reached the Vaingaichunpao train station in Manipur to start the case, placing the country on the Indian Railways map.
The train covers an area of 11 km between two northeast stations. The train stopped for a while on the steps of Manipur's Jiribam railway station, where railway officials were welcomed by local residents before the national flag was hoisted along with the national anthem.

15) Two new species of underground spiders - Gravelyia boro and Dexippus kleini have recently been discovered in the Jharbari area west of Assam's Chirang Reserve Forest, Assam.
